Short-term parking at Palma Airport
The short-term parking at Palma de Mallorca Airport is perfect if you want to drop off or pick up someone quickly. The Express Parking (official name) are located directly at the departures area (Sortides / Salidas) of the terminal.
Ideal for pick-ups & drop-offs
Compared to the airport parking garage, Express Parking is especially convenient for short stops:
- no long search for a parking space
- no walking from the parking garage to the terminal (or vice versa)
- no carrying luggage over long distances
The short-term parking area at departures offers around 60 parking spaces, including four accessible parking spaces and three spaces with EV charging stations. However, parking spaces cannot be reserved.
During the high season, the short-term parking area may be completely full. Current availability is usually displayed at the entrance (if the system is working), so you can simply continue past it and head straight to the airport parking garage if necessary.

A major advantage: You can park for free for the first 10 minutes.
Important: If you stay longer than 10 minutes, the entire parking time will be charged – the free 10 minutes are then forfeited retroactively.

Short-term parking at the arrivals area
In addition to Express Parking at departures, there is also an Express Parking at arrivals (Arribades / Llegadas). This one is located at the airport parking garage, meaning it is not directly next to the terminal, but you can park for free for up to 15 minutes.
However, many cars regularly wait in front of the barrier and block it in order to time their entry with the arrival of the people who are beeing picking up. This can be a little annoying.
If your goal is to use the free 15 minutes, there is still a risk of having to pay if congestion at the exit causes you to exceed the free time.
For this reason, it is usually better to ask arriving passengers to go up to the departures level (simply take the lift to the first floor) and pick them up there.
If you expect a longer waiting or parking time, the airport parking garage may be a more relaxed and sometimes more cost-effective option. You can also reserve a parking space online, and your car will be parked in the shade 😎
