About PalmaParking.Info

Parking in Palma is, of course, not rocket science. You can basically park your car on most streets – that is, on areas where it’s allowed.

But quite often it’s a challenge to find a free parking space at all, especially in high season, on weekends, or when there’s bad weather on the island and everyone heads to Palma – or all of that at once 🙂

Why this project?

PalmaParking.Info is not an official website of the city administration of Palma or any car park operator.

This is a private project of mine that was born out of a whim. As an absolute Mallorca fan, I've always wanted to create a website for or about Mallorca.

However, it wasn't meant to be the 500th blog about restaurants, beaches or cycling (Hi Tim 😉), but rather something ‘helpful’ for everyday life. And since I myself have spent many hours looking for parking spaces and waiting in front of car parks in Palma, I had the idea, while enjoying a few cervezas in good company, to research, check, sort and collect all relevant information on the subject of ‘parking in Palma’ and put it all together in one place.

That’s how this website gradually came to life over several stays on the island 🙂
I hope it helps you plan your next visit to Palma 🌴☀️

I’ll keep adding to and updating the information regularly. If you spot anything incorrect or missing, feel free to drop me a message.

In that spirit: muchos saludos from PastaPasta in Cala Ratjada, where I’m writing this text right now 😉

There’s another thing: in the city area you can only buy a parking ticket for a maximum of two hours. If you want to stay longer, you have to (or should) return to your car and buy a new one. Because the parking attendants are out in the city every day from morning to evening – and exceeding the parking time or parking illegally can quickly become expensive.

If you don’t want to rely on luck or drive countless times around the block hoping for a free space, it’s best to go straight to a car park or one of the Park & Ride car parks outside the city. It saves both time and nerves.

Good planning is half the battle... 🤔

If you’re not a “Palma pro”, you’ll probably check online before your trip to find out where it’s best to park – ideally close to the places or sights you want to visit.

But when you arrive, you might find that a garage shown on Google Maps actually belongs to a hotel and isn’t public, or that a private garage is for residents only – meaning you can’t park there 😖

Or the exit of a garage is marked instead of the entrance – which, not rarely, is on the opposite side of the street or around the next corner. So you end up driving in circles trying to find your way in.

The truth is, many details on Google, Google Maps, Apple Maps and other sources are outdated, confusing or simply wrong.

That’s why you’re here!

To make sure that doesn’t happen to you, you’ll find here all public car parks, parking garages and underground car parks in Palma, complete with opening hours, prices, disabled parking spaces, charging stations, maximum entrance heights and more – all verified.

With the interactive map, you can plan your visit in advance, see which areas you’d like to explore and which parking options work best for you. And if one happens to be full, you’ll be shown alternatives nearby.

Each car park listing includes direct links to Google Maps and Apple Maps for easy navigation, plus address details and GPS coordinates.

And if you like it extra easy: I’ve even found two car parks in Palma where you can reserve a parking space online in advance.

So you can plan your next trip perfectly – and start your day in Mallorca’s beautiful capital city completely stress-free!
