There are several beaches around Palma de Mallorca, offering a diverse mix for sun lovers and swimmers alike.

The Platja Can Pere Antoni is only a few minutes’ walk from the old town and impresses with its view of the cathedral and a long sandy shoreline.

A little further east lies the smaller Platja des Portitxolet, inviting visitors to enjoy a relaxed day by the sea. This sheltered bay with its Mediterranean flair is known for its tranquillity and charming waterfront restaurants.

To the west of Palma, the well-known Platja de Cala Major awaits – a lively beach with fine sand and turquoise waters. The sheltered bay is ideal for swimming and, thanks to its clear water, perfect for snorkelling.

Free parking at the beaches

All three beaches have car parks nearby, though parking spaces are limited. The good news: you can park for free at all of them:

On sunny days ☀️ it’s best to arrive early – or be lucky 😅
