The Platja de Cala Major is one of the most popular beaches in Palma. Its fine, bright sand and crystal-clear water make it perfect for swimming and snorkelling. The bay is well protected from wind and waves, offering pleasant conditions throughout the season. The beach is about 250 metres long and provides many facilities such as sunbeds, parasols, showers and accessible entry points. Lifeguards are on duty during the summer months. Directly on the promenade, you’ll find several bars and restaurants where you can enjoy refreshments or a light meal. The atmosphere at Cala Major is lively yet relaxed.

Parking at Cala Major

As with the other beaches in Palma, parking close to the beach can be tricky, since there are only a few spaces available in the surrounding streets. The only slightly larger car park is located on Carrer de Miquel Codola (about a five-minute walk away), but spaces there also tend to fill up quickly during high season.
