A journey through Spain in one place
The Pueblo Español (“Spanish Village”) in Palma is a unique open-air museum that recreates famous buildings and squares from all over Spain on an area of around 6,000 square metres. Built in the 1960s, the site takes visitors on an architectural journey through the country – from Andalusian courtyards and Castilian castles to well-known palaces and churches. It’s a wonderful way to experience the diversity of Spanish architecture in a short time.
Architecture and atmosphere to explore
A walk through Pueblo Español leads past faithfully reconstructed streets, squares and monuments. In total, there are more than 100 buildings to see, including replicas of the Alhambra in Granada, the Torre del Oro in Seville and Madrid’s Plaza Mayor. The complex is lovingly designed, giving visitors the feeling of being in a real Spanish village. Small shops, craft workshops and cafés add to the charm and complete the experience.
A peaceful spot away from the crowds
Pueblo Español lies just outside the city centre but is easy to reach and offers a relaxed atmosphere far from the tourist hustle and bustle. It’s ideal for a quiet stroll or as a great photo location. Occasionally, markets, exhibitions and other events are held here. If you love Spanish architecture or are looking for a special sight in Palma, this is the place to go.
Parking at Pueblo Español
A free car park with 35 spaces is located right next to Pueblo Español. Other options include Parking Carrer de Bellpuig (also free of charge) or, about a 10-minute walk away, the underground car park Parking Marquès de la Sénia on the Paseo Marítimo.
