Parking in Santa Catalina
Santa Catalina is one of Palma’s trendiest neighbourhoods and a true insider tip away from the bustle of the city centre. Originally a traditional district of fishermen and craftsmen, Santa Catalina has evolved into a lively hotspot full of charm and Mediterranean flair.
Small, individual restaurants, hip bars and cosy cafés line the streets, inviting visitors to relax and enjoy themselves. Especially in the evening, the area comes alive as locals and tourists meet in the street cafés or on the terraces to enjoy Palma’s vibrant nightlife.
A particular highlight is the Mercat de Santa Catalina, one of the city’s market halls, offering fresh local produce, tapas stalls and an authentic Mallorcan atmosphere. It’s a great place to experience the colourful hustle and bustle while treating yourself to some delicious food.
Despite its central location, Santa Catalina feels pleasantly detached from the busy old town, making it perfect for anyone wishing to discover Palma’s more relaxed side.
Parking in Santa Catalina, however, can be a bit tricky. In addition to the on-street parking spaces (blue zone → paid, maximum parking time 2 hours), there are no dedicated car parks or underground garages directly in Santa Catalina. But from Carrer Contramoll Mollet 1, you can reach the district in about 10 minutes on foot – just as quickly from the underground car parks Passeig de Mallorca and Parking Marquès de la Sénia.
